Synopsis:
The story is set in 1976 when English rock was at its peak. Tony Wilson and Alan Erasmus meet in a Sex Pistols’s concert in Lesser Free Trade Hall in Manchester. Motivated by the energy of that concert they decide to begin a Club in Manchester - the Russel Club – where they organize concerts with their favourite bands.
Later they meet Rob Gretton and open Factory Records – record label of bands like Joy Division, Happy Mondays and New Order. However, the freedom that Tony gives his artists leads him to ruin.
Comment: I think it’s a very good movie because it is about the music that I love. I think it is very well directed and the actors were well chosen.
